Here be the list of the fastest growing privately held companies in Missouri as ranked by Inc. 5000 for 2019. The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.

Congratulations to all the privately held companies that made this list. It’s no mean feat. You can see the criteria to be included here.

As Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter commented, “The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success. There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”

Not only have the companies on the 2019 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the 2019 list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. The 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 454 percent, and a median rate of 157 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years.

Local Ecosystem

For Missouri, this year saw 75 companies make the list, which is an increase on 71 in 2018. Of that, 35 were included in the 2018 list too. This year was also marked by the inclusion of three Arch Grant Recipient companies, with Less Annoying CRM and Longneck & Thunderfoot included in the list for the first time (Disclosure: I am a co-founder of the latter – very proud!).

ACERTUS, who made a staggering $170.7M last year, sent EQ a statement. The tech-enabled vehicle lifecycle solutions company serving the automotive logistics industry, has corporate headquarters in South St. Louis County and was co-founded by St. Louis native William Billiter.

“We are honored to be included on this prestigious list and humbled to stand among the nation’s fastest-growing private companies,” said William Billiter, co-founder and CEO of ACERTUS. “None of this would be possible without our amazing team – it’s a testament to their hard work and dedication to excellence. The same entrepreneurial spirit that gave us our start continues to fuel our relentless drive to deliver innovative products, comprehensive services and exceptional customer service.”

This story is developing and will be updated. If your company made it to the list and you’d like to share a comment, statement or press release about it, feel free to contact EQ via this form. We will update this article with any statements we receive.
